GAVIN ABADI - BUSINESS EXPERIENCE
Gavin Abadi started his first company when he was a very young man. After having just graduated from a Los Angeles area auctioneering school at the young age of eighteen, he then decided to move to Atlanta to start his first business, Gavins Liquidations. The young entrepreneur had come very far in his life. As a Johannesburg, South Africa native, he left his home to pursue his passion in the import and auction industries. His talent for creating casual events helped him achieve success at a young age.
One of Abadi’s most useful talents is his wit. Few auctioneers are able to entertain their bidders like professional performers. However, Abadi has been able to attract people from all walks of life mostly because he has the ability to converse with just about anyone on any subject. The effect is highly entertaining, informative and often quite funny too. His auctions can be so entertaining, in fact, that people visit them just to hear Abadi speak, even if they aren’t looking to buy.
Abadi admits that his various auction houses do not always turn a profit on the items they sell. This is because, while many people come to his events, he does not pressure them into bidding wars. The rare and unique items speak for themselves, so he understands that sometimes the company just has to take a loss when the audience bids low on any given item. In the long run, though, Abadi has been able to build his auction houses into some of the most popular traveling import auction houses in the United States. Yet, as his auction businesses keep him traveling, he still has his roots in his adopted home of Atlanta. Not only are all of his auction houses based there, but he also owns several nightclubs as well as a few restaurants in the area. |
